U2 just kicked-off the 51st Grammy Awards with their brand new single “Get On Your Boots” from their upcoming album, No Line On The Horizon.
The giant LED screen with the lyrics was cheesy and a waste of a perfectly good screen, Bono’s performance was A+ though of course. The American flags and psychadelic colors were cheap as well.
What kind of a statement is he making here? He’s not even American!
I LOVE THIS NEW SINGLE THOUGH!!
Whitney Houston presenting was a HOT MESS!
Chris Martin and Kanye West performed Lost and then COLDPLAY busted into a pretty decent performance of Viva La Vida!
SONG OF THE YEAR -
COLDPLAY for VIVA LA VIDA
THE JONAS BROTHERS AND STEVIE WONDER ARE ON NOW AND THE JONAS BROS. SUCK!! Poor Stevie. :(
Chris Martin [Coldplay] just admitted while crying that they are not the heaviest of rock bands as they collect their Grammy for BEST ROCK ALBUM! Haha!
M.I.A. > Props to her for performing so pregnant.
Radiohead with the USC Marching Band performing “15 Step” from In Rainbows was alright… it wasn’t really that spectacular in my opinion. Tom looked nasty too!
What a boring show…
ALBUM OF THE YEAR-
Raising Sand, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss
Zzzzz! Alright, I’m exhausted. G’night.
xoxo.

TORI AMOS has been added to a list of performers scheduled for the South by Southwest (SXSW) Festival 2009. Apparently, there are three components to the festival: one which focuses on music, one which focuses on film, and one which focuses on interactive entertainment. The event takes place in Austin, TX, and Tori is scheduled to appear at La Zona Rosa on March 19.
You can find more discussion about this new show here.
I wonder what surprises are in store!
Don’t get too excited though, the prices start at $550…
